Council “Can No Longer Be The Single Authority” For Social Housing

It’s claimed Clare County Council can no longer be the single authority for the provision of social housing in this county.

The Chair of the local authority’s housing committee is commenting in light of the latest Government update which has shown slow progress in the development of social housing projects in the county.

The Status report looks at 11 projects in Westbury, Sixmilebridge, Ennis, Doonbeg, Feakle, Clonlara, Quilty and Shannon, where a total of 149 units are being built, but most of those are some way from being completed.
