Line Up Completed For 2017 Clare SHC & IHC Finals

Sixmilebridge will take on Clooney/Quin in the 2017 Clare Senior Hurling Final.

The Bridge will march behind the band for the 5th time in the last seven seasons after they beat Newmarket 3-17 to 2-18.

Brian Corry hit a brace of goals for the winners while Jamie Shanahan found the net from a penalty

Manager John O’Meara says while he’s pleased with the win, there’s room for improvement

Meanwhile Clooney/Quin are into Clare club hurlings biggest day for the first time in over 70 years.

They edged out Clonlara by 0-16 to 0-14 with county star Peter Duggan accounting for 0-12 of his side tally.

Duggan landed a free inside the closing five minutes to put his side two points ahead and he says it was a time when cool heads were needed.

The final is pencilled in for Sunday October 15th.

The line up for the 2017 Clare Intermediate Final is also completed.

Two of the most recent teams to be relegated from the top tier will battle it out, with Kilmaley going up against Tubber.

Both sides were comfortable winners of their last four ties, beating Parteen and Smith O’Briens respectively.

In the Junior Quarter finals there were wins for Eire Óg, O’Callaghans Mills, Bodyke and Ennistymon.
