Miltown manager Michael Neylon is confident his side have made the improvements needed to book a spot in the quarter finals of the Clare Senior Football championship.

The 2015 winners recovered from an opening round loss to Doonbeg by beating St Breckan’s last time out, and now face O’Curry’s for a place in the last eight.

They have no new injury concerns ahead of the game but will still be without Darragh McDonagh and Brendan O’Brien.

Neylon says while training has gone well, it’s the heat of championship battle will test how far they’ve come.

They meet in Doonbeg tomorrow with a 3pm throw in.

Meanwhile Doonbeg manager Brian Shanahan is expecting a tough encounter as they also bid for the last eight.

They’ll take on St Josephs Doora Barefield in Round Three, with the men from the Parish being led by former Doonbeg boss Kieran O’Neill.

Shanahan says they can only concentrate on what they can control.

That one gets underway in Miltown tomorrow at 6pm
