A woman has been hospitalised following a two-car collision near Doonbeg this morning.
Her injuries are understood to be serious, but not life-threatening as Clare FM’s Ben Sweeney reports:

The two car crash happened on the N67 Kilkee to Lahinch Road around half eight this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Clohanes, just north of the golf club in Doonbeg, and the road was closed in both directions.
A woman, who is understood to be elderly, was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick.
Gardai have described her injuries as serious but not-life threatening.
The road remained closed for a number of hours and reopened before 12 noon.
