Aer Lingus say that they WILL use the Pre-Clearance facilities at Shannon Airport….but only when the service is up and running in Dublin Airport as well.

The former national carrier say that it’s not feasible for them to use the service in Shannon from the end of this month as it would mean their flights Stateside would go into different terminals…adding cost and inconvenience  to their passengers.

The airline has come under fire for failing to sign up to the service which is due to get underway at the end of this month at Shannon Airport.

Spokesperson for Aer Lingus Enda Corneille says that they are extremely supportive of the service but will not be using it from Shannon until later next year.
