24 Clare People Signed Up To Cheating Website

24 people in Clare have been identified as paid subscribers to controversial dating website Ashley Madison.

The Canadian-based website for those who want to have extra-marital affairs, was subject to an international hacking scandal last month which saw the a list of subscribers leaked.

Its reported that more than 260 of its Irish customers are located in Munster, 24 of those in Clare, including two women.

All 26 counties in the republic are represented on the list, 40 per cent of those are based in Dublin.

But there's doubt over whether the figures represent individual people as there's no way to identify whether the emails used to register belonged to those who signed up.
